Job summary

Certas Energy is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our terminal facilities in the UK. You will manage all operational activities, enforce safety and environmental standards, control costs and develop high-performing teams.

In this role you’ll drive performance, budgets and customer service across depots, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement through KPI analysis and effective leadership.

Qualifications

  • Significant operational leadership experience within a terminal, depot, logistics, fuel distribution, industrial or heavily regulated environment.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Excellent understanding of operational compliance, health & safety and environmental legislation.
  • Strong customer relationship management and commercial awareness.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe and efficient operation of terminal facilities while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
  • Manage operational budgets, including Capex, Revex, maintenance and operating expenditure.
  • Monitor financial performance, forecasting business requirements and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Build effective relationships with key customers and ensure agreed service levels are consistently achieved.
  • Supporting commercial growth by identifying business development opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP) implementation and Safety Management System compliance.
  • Ensure all terminal activities meet or exceed legal, environmental and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring, KPI analysis and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Lead, coaching and developing terminal teams.
  • Managing recruitment, succession planning, employee development and workforce planning activities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Terminal Manager to lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our terminal facilities.
