Job summary

Premier Education is hiring a Wraparound Care Playworker in Dartford for 24 hours per week during term time. The role supports breakfast and after‑school clubs at Horton Kirby CofE Primary School, with pay £8.00–£12.71 per hour, depending on age band.

You’ll work with the Site Lead to provide fun, safe, and inclusive activities, helping children build confidence and friendships. Training and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (paid or voluntary).
• Understanding of how to create safe, fun and inclusive play for children of all ages and abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Site Lead.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing.
• Warm, patient and encouraging approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and inclusive play activities.
• Support the Site Lead with the daily running of the club, including safe collection and handover of children.
• Provide age-appropriate personal care where required, in line with company policies.
• Set up play areas, prepare refreshments and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and involve children in choosing activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS procedures, including reporting concerns and administering first aid where required.
