Job summary

Premier Education is hiring a part-time Wraparound Care Playworker to support breakfast and after-school clubs at Keynsham, Bristol. The role involves coordinating fun, safe activities for primary school children across two schools.

You’ll assist with club operations, engage children in inclusive play, and follow safeguarding policies. Hours are 20–24 weekly, term-time only, with pay bands by age group.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (paid or voluntary).
• Ability to create safe, fun and inclusive play for children of all ages and abilities.
• Teamwork and ability to take direction from the Site Lead.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene training, and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and inclusive play activities.
• Support the Site Lead with the daily running of the club, including safe collection and handover of children.
• Provide age-appropriate personal or intimate care where required, in line with company policies.
• Set up play areas, prepare refreshments and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and involve children in choosing activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS procedures, including reporting concerns and administering first aid where required.
