Job summary

The Forum School, part of Cambian Group, seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support ASD and trauma-informed approaches within a therapeutic educational setting at The Forum School.

This term-time only role covers 39 weeks per year and requires experience with young people. Driving licence is desirable, and training on behaviour support will be provided to the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a therapeutic educational or residential environment.
• Strong understanding of attachment and loss.
• Evidence of therapeutic training/qualifications.
• Full driving licence (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Clinical Psychology and MDT to implement interventions.
• Write, review and update Risk Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
• Support for young people’s positive behaviour.
• Observation of team and young people to model positive behaviour support.
• Plan and support in crises.
• Develop and deliver training on supportive interventions and positive behaviour.
• Staff debrief and ensure learnings are recorded and reviewed monthly and annually.
