Job summary

Charters School in Ascot is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a large, supportive team. You will work with classroom teachers to support learning across the school and help deliver literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional support. The role may involve personal care and requires flexibility with hours, including term-time only arrangements.

Salary is pro-rata for part-time work. We offer a competitive salary and access to a local government pension plus staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to support students’ independent learning.
• Encouragement and clear explanations to help young people reach their potential.
• Literacy: phonics catch‑up, reading fluency, and structured writing frameworks.
• Numeracy: de‑mystifying maths with number sense and foundational problem‑solving skills.
• Social & Emotional Skills: facilitating sessions that promote confidence, social communication, and resilience.

Responsibilities

• The role could include providing personal care for the student.
• Deadline: 9am, Monday 28 September 2026.
• We would prefer candidates able to work five days per week; however, four days may be considered for the right candidate.
