Job summary

Fletching Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated Full time Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, starting in September 2026. Working Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. Hours are 32.5 per week, part-time term-time only.

Salary is pro rata. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing, with experience as a teaching assistant with primary-aged children, capable of delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions

Qualifications

• Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Ideally have experience working as teaching assistant with primary-aged children.
• Be confident in delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions in reading, writing, and maths.
• Work closely with class teachers and the Inclusion Lead to plan, deliver, and review high-quality support.
• Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and wellbeing across the school.
• Assist in delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions in reading, writing and maths.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and review targeted support.
• Create inclusive learning environments and monitor pupil progress.
