Job summary

Emersons Green Primary School in Bristol invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to support both whole classes and individuals. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–15:00, term time only (39 weeks), starting 04/01/2027.

The post is a fixed-term contract until 31/08/2027, linked to EHCP funding, with an actual salary range of £16,103.70 to £16,895.26 per annum. The school values inclusion, teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 / Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience and/or qualifications in working with pupils with Special Needs and willingness to undertake further professional development.
• Be competent in the use of IT.
• Be flexible and versatile in a rapidly changing work environment.
• Enjoy working closely with colleagues as part of an effective team.

Responsibilities

• Support whole classes and individual pupils under the direction of the class teacher.
• Assist with learning activities, resources and classroom organisation.
• Contribute to pupil attainment, progress and well-being.
