Job summary

All Faiths Children’s Academy in Strood is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team supporting class teachers in the teaching and welfare of pupils, promoting positive behaviour patterns, raising self-esteem and improving independent working in pupils to assist in their education and growth.

Qualifications

• There may be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs throughout the Key Stages.
• There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to pupils under the direction of the Classroom Teacher
• Coach and support pupils' learning by supervising and assisting them in 1:1 sessions and small groups
• Help pupils engage across a variety of learning activities and interventions
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure pupils have access to the resources they need to succeed
