You will support the Head Chef in delivering nutritious meals for students aged 3-18, contribute to menu planning, food preparation, service and food safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
• Strong leadership and teamworking skills.
• Passion for fresh, well-presented food.
• Knowledge of food safety, allergens and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a busy catering environment.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling food costs.
• Ability to empower the team and foster a positive culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food production, standards, costs and menu planning are carried out as agreed with Head Chef.
• Manage the smooth operation of the section and assist Head Chef with orders and developing new food concepts.
• Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company and the client.
• Ensure the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers.
• Provide customer-focused service and exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
• Develop kitchen team through training and empowerment and maintain an open-door policy.
• Control costs, wastage and orders within the client budget.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental procedures.
