Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Site Supervisor for a welcoming primary school in LS17, Leeds. This part-time, term-time role includes additional hours as required and focuses on keeping the site safe, clean, and well-presented for pupils and staff.

You will open and close the site, coordinate routine maintenance, monitor visitors and contractors, and support with health and safety checks. The ideal candidate is reliable, independent, and committed to safeguarding children.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site supervision role is desirable.
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Trustworthy, dependable, and flexible approach to work.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the school site.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the security of the school buildings and grounds.
• Conducting regular health and safety checks.
• Monitoring contractors and visitors on site.
• Supporting with deliveries and site logistics.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the school grounds.
• Reporting and escalating maintenance issues where appropriate.
• Assisting with emergency procedures and site inspections.
