Job summary

NurtureCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team delivering healthcare in specialist schools across Derby City and Derbyshire. This term-time role fits school hours and supports children with complex health needs.

You will provide hands-on nursing, support school staff in delegated procedures, contribute to IHCPs, and participate in safeguarding and multi‑agency planning. NMC registration and experience with CYP are essential.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse with current license.
• Experience with children and young people in schools or paediatric settings.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on nursing care for children and young people with complex health needs in school settings.
• Support and supervise school staff in delivering delegated health procedures using TEACH framework.
• Build trusted relationships with pupils, families and school teams.
• Contribute to development and review IHCPs.
• Escalate health or safeguarding concerns and participate in multi-agency planning.
