Job summary

Horizons Alternative Provision Academy in Berkshire is seeking a punctual and safety‑minded Driver to support the transport of students to and from school during term time. You will operate school minibuses, perform daily safety checks, maintain records and work closely with staff to ensure safeguarding and smooth journeys.

The role is part‑time, term‑time only, based mainly at our Launch site, with responsibility for the Bracknell transport route; prior driving experience and a clean licence

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence with a clean record.
• At least two years' driving experience.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety and safeguarding.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Keep passenger registers and transport records up to date.
• Communicate professionally with parents, carers and staff.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures and road rules.
