Kirklees Council is recruiting for a Catering Supervisor at Denby CE First School, part of Green Hills Federation. The role runs 27.5 hours per week during term time plus 2 days, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:30pm, at Goose Green, Upper Denby, Huddersfield.

You will plan menus, order supplies, and oversee day-to-day running of the school kitchen, preparing a nutritious two-course lunch for pupils and staff. Experience in cooking and food hygiene is essential; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, preparing, cooking and serving a two-course lunch.
• Ability to plan menus and order kitchen supplies within budget.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safe handling.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training including safeguarding.

Responsabilités

• Plan and prepare a nutritious two-course lunch to a good standard and on time.
• Plan menus and order food within authorised procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleaning and kitchen safety.
• Keep accurate records of food temperatures, deliveries and stock.
• Manage time effectively and respond to changing meal numbers.
• Support pupils, staff and visitors in a friendly manner.
