Job summary

Caterlink is seeking an Assistant Chef at Hertford Regional College Ware in Hertfordshire to ensure nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for students. We are looking for an organised, hardworking and passionate individual to maintain food quality, presentation and service to the required standard.

You will assist with planning, preparing and cooking of meals, brief kitchen teams on menus, and ensure food safety and health and safety procedures are applied.

Qualifications

• Organised, hard-working and passionate about delivering quality food.
• Strong commitment to high food safety standards.
• Experience in school catering or large-volume kitchens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard.
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service; ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are followed.
• Carry out company bookwork and support overall kitchen operations.
