Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a Relief General Kitchen Assistant for Pencoed Primary School to support term-time catering across the county. The role involves helping with meal preparation, presentation and service, while maintaining a clean and safe dining area for pupils and staff.

Applicants must hold a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate; DBS check (Enhanced) is required. Training will be provided. Hours are between 10:00 and 14:30, Monday to Friday during term time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs and, in some schools, operate a touch screen terminal.
• Provide a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
• Cover at schools across the County Borough as required.
