Job summary

Outwood Academy Brumby is seeking a catering assistant to prepare, cook and serve meals to strict hygiene standards. The role runs 25 hours per week, on weekdays from 9.15am to 2.15pm, during term time plus three additional days.

Applicants should hold Level 2 food hygiene certification or equivalent and be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a satisfactory DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 food hygiene certificate or equivalent
• Experience working with food in a kitchen environment
• Good customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food and beverages to high hygiene standards
• Follow food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety and COSHH regulations
• Wash dishes and clean catering areas daily
• Operate as a cashier as required and under supervision
• Report all accidents and incidents
