Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking Relief General Kitchen Assistants to support school meal services across Pencoed and surrounding primary schools. The role runs term-time, typically 10:00–14:30, with DBS clearance required for the post.

Salary is £13.45 per hour with cover across 56 schools. Training will be provided for any necessary duties, including food hygiene and use of touch screen terminals where required.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs; operate touch screen terminal where required (training provided).
• Cover at schools across the County Borough as needed; training provided to obtain Level Two Food Hygiene certificate.
