Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join a Worthing school on a term-time only basis. You will assist with basic food preparation, serve meals to students and staff, and maintain hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas.

Working hours align with school terms, typically Monday to Friday during school hours (roughly 10:00am–2:00pm). Weekly pay and flexible ongoing work are offered, with support from a dedicated recruitment consultant to ensure a great work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check is essential or willingness to obtain one.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Previous catering or food service experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Serving meals to students and staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
• Washing up and general kitchen duties.
• Providing friendly and efficient service at all times.
