Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a part-time cleaner to support term-time cleaning across the County’s schools. The role includes holiday cleaning up to 10 days and hours dependent on each school's contract. A DBS check will be required, and basic Welsh knowledge is expected with support provided on appointment.

The position offers pro-rata compensation based on a 37-hour full-time equivalent and requires flexibility to cover varying school contracts during term time.

Qualifications

• The role requires a keen eye for detail and pride in keeping areas spotless.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn new cleaning skills.
• Level 1 Welsh knowledge is required; support available on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and emptying waste bins.
• Replenishing consumables and deep cleaning as required.
• Using cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals following health and safety guidelines.
