Job summary

Lyng Primary School in West Bromwich is seeking a friendly General Assistant to support lunchtime service during term time. The role includes food preparation, serving pupils, table setup, cleaning and general kitchen duties.

Part-time 12.5 hours per week (11:00–13:30, Monday to Friday during term time) with DBS checks and Level 2 Food Safety training. The post is paid Band A SCP 3, pro rata (£7,555 actual salary).

Qualifications

• Food preparation and serving duties during lunch periods.
• Willingness to undertake Level 2 Food Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of food and serving pupils.
• Erect and dismantle tables for lunch and assist in dining hall cleanup.
• Wash up and carry out general kitchen duties as required.
