Job summary

Miquill is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant in Wallingford to join our school kitchen team. You will deliver excellent customer service, assist in preparing and serving meals, handle tills with full training, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

We offer a supportive environment, term-time hours (38 weeks), 12.5 hours per week, and the chance to grow with dedicated L&D support. DBS disclosure will be sought to ensure safeguarding and welfare of children.

Qualifications

• Friendly and versatile personality with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills and enjoyment interacting with people.
• Training provided for the right candidate; catering experience is a bonus.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred; full training available.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff
• Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.
• Operating Tills (full training provided)
• Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times
• Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy
