Job summary

Miquill is a specialist school catering business based in the Midlands. We are seeking a Catering Assistant to be the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team, delivering great customer service and assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.

• Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided.
• Strong customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred but not essential.

Monday to Friday working—no more weekends!

12.5 hours working with no late nights.

38 weeks per year based around school term time (more time to spend with friends and family!).

£12.71 per hour

Job Introduction

As a Catering Assistant, you are the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team! You'll provide fantastic customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibilities

Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff

Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.

Operating Tills (full training provided)

Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times

Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy

Exceptional Customer Service skills—you love interacting with people!
