Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is recruiting a Breakfast Club assistant in Burry Port. You will help prepare and serve a nutritious breakfast, keep the kitchen and dining area clean, and assist with setting up and clearing tables. This is a 1 day per week, 45-minute post, term-time only, with an annualised pay scheme.

The role requires basic Welsh (Level 2), knowledge of basic Food Safety, good communication and teamwork, and a positive, learning-oriented attitude. DBS check will be completed.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Safety and Health & Safety knowledge; full training provided.
• Welsh language ability at Level 2 is required with reasonable support to reach this level.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep the food preparation area clean before breakfast service.
• Set up and clear tables, and perform general kitchen and dining room duties.
• Support food service and maintain safe, tidy work and dining areas.
