East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking Pupil Support Assistants to help children and young people with additional support needs in local schools. Roles are part-time, term-time only, and pro-rated for the hours worked.

Positions are temporary until 30 June 2027 with potential continuation dependent on funding and staffing requirements. You will assist with personal care, learning activities, and supervision, moving between schools as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs is essential.
• A relevant qualification in childcare is desirable.
• Willingness to work across multiple schools within the Authority.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils individually or in small groups as directed by the class teacher.
• Assist with pupils personal care needs.
• Provide supervision for pupils in the playground, corridors, dining area, PE or on school trips.
• Contribute to support programmes within the school setting as recommended by other professionals.
• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for pupils.
