Job summary

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant (Peripatetic) for Lennoxtown Primary. The role supports children with additional support needs and involves moving between schools as required within the Authority. Salary is pro-rated for term-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs.
• A relevant qualification in childcare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually or in small groups directed by the class teacher.
• Provide supervision for pupils in areas such as playground, corridors, dining area, PE, or school trips.
• Contribute to support programmes within the school setting as recommended by other professionals.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for pupils.
