Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Assistant to work alongside teaching staff, supporting learners with communication, tasks, IT use, mobility and social skills. The role involves assisting during lessons, supervising breaks, and helping prepare resources, under training where needed.

• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support learners and work with teaching staff to meet individual needs.
• Assist with communication, writing tasks, and use of IT.
• Support activities during breaks and meal times.
• Assist with preparation of resources and materials.
• Monitor progress and contribute to learner reports.
• Liaise with Pupil Support Team and other agencies as needed.
