Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistant in Crawly and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time, part-time or daily cover to fit term-time schedules.

You will support teachers, deliver targeted reading, phonics and numeracy activities, and provide 1:1 SEN assistance to pupils, in a positive, inclusive classroom. DBS and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care.
• Positive mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• DBS checked with Update Service (or willingness to complete).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable access to schools nearby.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning activities with teachers.
• Run reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
• Provide 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with lesson prep, displays, and break-time monitoring.
