Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting a Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistant to support staff and inspire pupils across Crawly and surrounding areas. You will work in early years to KS2, delivering reading, phonics, and numeracy sessions and providing 1:1 assistance with SEN needs.

We welcome applicants with relevant experience in schools or childcare, a positive attitude, and good English and Maths. Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one is required, with flexible term-time or

Qualifications

Relevant experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care).
A positive, adaptable mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
Right to work in the UK and reliable access to schools throughout Crawly and surroundings.

Responsibilities

Partnering with primary class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and keep pupils on task.
Running targeted reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
Delivering dedicated 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs).
Fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported.
Assisting with lesson prep, creative displays, and break-time monitoring.
