Job summary

Arthur Bugler Primary School is seeking a Midday Assistant to supervise on playgrounds or in the dining hall, ensuring a safe, engaging lunchtime for pupils. Start date: November 2026; fixed term to 31 August 2027. 5 hours per week, 12:10pm–1:10pm, Monday to Friday, during 38 weeks of the year.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, helping with meals and personal care where needed, and administering basic first aid as required.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and flexible Midday Assistant to supervise on playgrounds or in the dining hall.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment for pupils during lunchtimes.
• Assist with personal care where necessary and administer basic first aid.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the children to encourage social skills and lead outdoor activities.
• Encourage healthy eating, supervise tables, oversee play, and help clear up.
• Ensure safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell and provide comfort.
