Job summary

Esher High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with an enthusiastic team supporting students with special needs and helping them access the national curriculum. You will work in class with teachers and support staff to enable maximum participation and development.

We welcome candidates seeking part-time or full-time hours; typical pattern is 30 hours per week during term time (37.6 weeks per year) with a good level of English and numeracy.

Qualifications

• A good level of written and spoken English is required, together with numeracy skills.
• Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs to access the curriculum.
• Work in class alongside teachers and support staff.
• Help maintain well-being, behaviour and personal development.
