Job summary

Christ Church Primary School and Nursery in Burton on Trent is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will help children overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically and personally, working under teachers' guidance and contributing to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
• Experience working with children with additional needs.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum and ability to adapt support.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of teachers, support learning in the classroom and supervise short-term cover as needed.
• Deliver structured support for pupils, including guided reading sessions and contribution to Individual Education and Behaviour plans.
• Support teachers with planning, assessment and accurate recording of pupil progress.
• Provide pastoral support and assist with pupils’ personal needs and wellbeing.
• accompany pupils on visits and assist with out-of-class activities as required.
