Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a General Kitchen Assistant at Oasis Academy Skinner Street in Gillingham, Kent. The role supports busy food service operations, handling food prep, serving and maintaining hygiene standards in a friendly team environment.

The position is term-time only (39 weeks), 15 hours per week, with permanent, part-time terms. Training is provided, and we offer a supportive workplace focused on wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable attitude.

• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors.
