Job summary

Sense College Rothwell is seeking an Education Support Worker to assist learners with SEN in a term-time, part-time role (21 hours per week across Tue, Wed, Fri). The role supports EHCP outcomes, personal care, and skill development at the Rothwell campus.

You will work with education colleagues, encourage learner independence, and contribute to reviews while building relationships with learners. The post is fixed-term with a 39-week academic year and involves safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 teaching support qualification.
• Positive attitude towards working with people with SEND.
• Understanding of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
• Ability to support learners with dressing and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to develop their skills, independence and confidence.
• Assist teaching and learning with inclusive, creative approaches.
• Contribute to EHCPs and person-centred planning and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings.
