Job summary

Sense College Rothwell is seeking an Education Support Worker to assist learners in developing skills, confidence and independence during term-time. The role is part-time, 14 hours per week (Thursday and Friday, 09:15–16:15), 39 weeks per year, on a one-year fixed-term contract with a salary of £14 per hour.

You will work with learners to achieve EHCP outcomes, contribute to reviews, and support teaching and learning in a creative, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 teaching support qualification.
• Positive attitude towards working with people with SEND.
• Understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
• Ability to support learners with dressing and personal care.
• Experience supporting people with SEND or complex needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to develop skills, independence and confidence.
• Contribute to learner reviews and education team meetings.
• Maintain accurate records and support EHCP monitoring.
• Support learners in educational activities and community access.
• Assist with dressing and personal care as needed.
