Job summary

Priorswood Primary School in Taunton invites applications for an Early Years Teaching Assistant – Level 1 to join our supportive team. The role is permanent, part-time at 29.75 hours per week, term-time only plus inset days, with a pattern that includes mornings and early afternoons.

You will help young learners develop educational, social and personal skills, working with colleagues to meet developmental milestones in a diverse, caring environment that values respect and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and support children individually or in small groups.

Responsibilities

• You will support young learners' educational, social and personal development.
• You will work with staff to help children reach developmental milestones.
• You will engage with children in small groups or one-to-one to manage behaviour.
