Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council invites applications for an Early Learning and Childcare Support Worker in Lanark Primary Nursery Class. The post is 20 hours per week, term time, 39 weeks per year, with a Monday–Friday pattern 10am–2pm and an hourly rate of £13.80–£14.83.

The role includes supporting the learning and development of young children within our ELC establishments. Applicants must register with the SSSC as a support worker and hold or be willing to obtain one of the listed qualifications.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain one of the listed qualifications.
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker is required.
• Overseas criminal records checks may be required for applicants with international history.

Responsibilities

• You will work as an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team, delivering a high-quality service that supports children and staff and contributes to a positive ethos.

NC in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6
