Job summary

Brighton College Prep Hove is seeking an Early Years Practitioner and After School Club Supervisor to join our team. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027 and full-time, term-time only within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The successful candidate will hold a level 3 qualification or above and contribute to planning, delivery, and assessment, while supporting pastoral care and school events.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a level 3 qualification or above.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early years practices.
• Ability to plan, deliver interventions and assess pupils.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers on termly and weekly planning.
• Understand and apply the EYFS framework.
• Proactively set up learning environments, including outdoor areas.
• Plan and deliver interventions and assess pupils.
• Assist specialist teachers in curriculum delivery and school events.
• Foster positive relationships among children and staff.
• Liaise with Learning Support Leadership and class teachers.
• Create a stimulating learning environment with teachers.
• Support general organisational duties of the teaching team.
• Record observations on Tapestry and share feedback.
• Represent the school at Open Mornings/events and speak with prospective parents.
• Attend INSETS and pursue CPD.
