Job summary

Priestlands School is seeking to appoint two Cover Supervisors to start after the Autumn half term. The roles offer experience across a range of subjects or a focus within the PE team, and provide an ideal first step for those considering teacher training.

The posts are for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only with paid holiday weeks. Successful candidates will work with young people, support learning, and maintain a calm, fair classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people is advantageous but not essential.
• Induction and training will be provided.
• Must demonstrate a firm but fair approach to pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support learning when the regular teacher is unavailable.
• Help students access and complete the set work within the time allowed.
• Maintain a calm, non-confrontational environment and promote positive behaviour.
