Job summary

HCL is seeking a Cook Manager based at Civitas Academy Primary School. You will lead the kitchen team, deliver fresh, nutritious meals, and oversee stock control and budget management while maintaining high hygiene standards.

You should have Food Hygiene Level 2 and NVQ 2/3 are desirable. Term-time hours, 30 per week, with a joining bonus and uniform provided. DBS enhanced paid by HCL.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, nutritious meals.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and budget management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Manage allergen awareness and cater for special dietary requirements.
