Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is seeking a School Assistant (Term Time) for Culzean Primary School. You will relieve teachers of non-teaching duties, assist with classroom administration and prepare teaching materials.

You will support learning activities under the direction of teaching staff and help pupils with additional support needs, including those with physical difficulties and challenging behaviour. PVG scheme membership is required prior to a formal offer.

Responsibilities

• Relieve teachers of non-teaching duties including classroom administration and practical tasks such as the preparation of teaching materials.
• Support the learning activities of children under the direction of the classroom teacher / Principal Teacher and other colleagues.
• Support pupils with additional support needs of a wide nature which include physical difficulties and challenging behaviour.
