Job summary

East Ayrshire Council seeks a Classroom Assistant - PEF for Auchinleck Primary School to support learners and teachers with a range of non-teaching duties and material preparation. The post is temporary, part-time (27.5 hours, Monday–Friday 9:00–15:00), term-time, and based at Auchinleck Primary School in East Ayrshire.

The full-time salary range is £26,190–£27,300 per annum, but the actual part-time salary is £17,649–£18,397 per annum.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme membership required for Regulated Work with children and/or vulnerable groups.
• Minimum of two appropriate and relevant references, one from current or most recent employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-employment checks in line with Safer Recruitment guidance.
• Provide support to learners and teachers with non-teaching duties as described in the role.
• Coordinate and prepare teaching materials to support delivery of key objectives.
