Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a 9-hour-per-week post, fixed term until July 2027, with potential for extra hours by agreement. You will be based in the advertised location with flexibility to work across the Peterhead CSN as required.

Join a school team to support attainment, care, health, wellbeing and safety, working with pupils from P1 to S6 in a secure, positive environment.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme membership or update check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if outside UK for 3+ months in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising pupil attainment.
• Provide general support for class needs and individuals’ care, health, wellbeing and safety.
• Ensure a secure and safe environment for pupils.
• Be flexible in location within the cluster and work with pupils from P1–S6.
• Commit to quality service delivery and continuous improvement for the service and organisation.
