Durham University is hiring a Chef De Partie to support the Head Chef in food production and kitchen operations. You’ll assist with cleaning, deliveries, and storage, while upholding the university’s high standards.

The role runs 35 hours per week across 32 weeks of the year (term time only), based at St Aidan's College, with overtime paid if required. Salary is pro-rata up to £18,541 per annum, plus a market supplement of £923.

Mansioni

• Support Head Chef with food production and running of the kitchen to maintain high quality standards.
• Assist with day‑to‑day cleaning of kitchen and catering equipment, receipt and storage of goods, and check/sign for deliveries.
• Promote a positive image of University Catering and Durham University at all times.
• Work five days out of seven, including some evenings and weekends; typical hours 7:00am–9:30pm.
• Perform physical manual handling and flex across all catering areas as required.
