Job summary

Aspens Services, a market-leading school caterer, is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen during lunchtimes. You’ll handle basic food prep and serve pupils and staff with a friendly, efficient manner.

You’ll be a team player with prior catering or fast-paced service experience and a basic knowledge of health and safety. DBS disclosure is required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is great but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on tills during service (training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Provide friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensure a safe, clean kitchen and Health & Safety compliance.
