Job summary

First Step Sports Group is seeking enthusiastic Active Care Assistants for the Morning and After School Club in Bawtry. You will deliver creative, play-based activities for children aged 4–11 and help ensure smooth club operation, building positive relationships with parents, children, and school staff.

The role is term-time only with morning and afternoon sessions, and involves safeguarding responsibilities and serving a light breakfast.

Qualifications

• Experience in wraparound care/holiday clubs.
• Experience in EYFS or assisting an out-of-school/sports club (desirable).
• Level 2/3 childcare or playwork qualification (desirable).
• Level 2 Food Hygiene (training can be provided).
• First Aid (training can be provided).
• Availability five days a week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Morning and After School Club.
• Deliver an outstanding experience and act as a point of contact for parents and carers.
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children in your care.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and school staff.
• Prepare and serve a light breakfast/tea for attending children.
• Support the ordering and management of food and supplies.

Education

Level 2/3 childcare or playwork qualification (desirable)

First Aid (training can be provided)

Level 2 Food Hygiene (training can be provided)
