Job summary

First Step Sports Group in Bawtry is seeking an enthusiastic Active Care Assistant to support our Morning and After School Club for children aged 4–11. You will help run sessions, ensure safety, and provide a warm, engaging environment before and after the school day.

Role is term-time only with potential holiday work; prior childcare experience is valued, and a DBS check will be required to start.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment (wraparound care/holiday clubs).
• Availability five days a week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Morning and After School Club
• Deliver an outstanding experience and act as a point of contact for parents and carers
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children in your care
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and school staff
• Prepare and serve a light breakfast/tea for attending children
• Support the ordering and management of food and supplies
