Job summary

Warren Mead Infant and Junior Partnership is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant who has a passion for supporting young people, helping to enhance their learning, and nurture their social and emotional development.

This term-time role focuses on 1:1 behavioural and social support for an individual pupil, with experience or training in autism welcomed, and the ability to adapt to the pupil’s needs. The successful candidate will join a professional, caring team valued by GLF Schools.

Qualifications

• Dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated
• Ability to develop positive relationships with young children
• Ability to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
• Committed to working as part of a team, including working closely with outside agencies
• Ability to relate exceptionally well with children and to go that extra mile to help them achieve
• Be a confident and clear communicator with parents

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural and social support for a pupil
• Deliver high-frequency intervention and regulation support
• Support pupil wellbeing and learning journey
• Collaborate with outside agencies as needed
