Job summary

Northern Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Tenancy Sustainment Officer for a housing association in the UK. You will support customers to sustain tenancies and access housing, health, welfare and community services, working with partner agencies and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

The role emphasises dignity and respect for clients, with opportunities to develop action plans, advocate on their behalf, and contribute to a compassionate, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support new and existing tenants to maintain successful tenancies.

Job description

A housing association is looking for a passionate Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join its Customer Experience Team and help customers maintain their homes, live independently and thrive in their communities. This is a fixed term 12 month contract.

The Role

You will provide housing-related support to customers, including those who may be vulnerable or require additional assistance. Working closely with customers and partner agencies, you'll help people sustain their tenancies and achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting new and existing tenants to maintain successful tenancies.

  • Providing advice around rent arrears, repairs, property condition and anti-social behaviour.

  • Helping customers understand and comply with their tenancy agreements.

  • Developing action plans and providing regular support.

  • Acting as an advocate and helping customers access appropriate housing, health, welfare and community services.

  • Building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and external agencies.

  • Maintaining accurate records of support and outcomes.
