Job summary

Salvation Army Homes in Liverpool is seeking a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to coordinate tenancy management and rent collection, ensuring fair access and proper processing of applications.

You will allocate vacant properties, support move-on accommodation, and maintain health and safety standards while working as part of a committed team to help residents sustain tenancies.

Qualifications

  • Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
  • Ability to build trusting professional relationships with high resilience.
  • Asset-based approach to empowering people to develop skills and strengths.
  • Knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
  • Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tenancy management and rent collection to ensure housing income is collected effectively.
  • Ensure fair access, process applications, conduct background checks and allocate vacant properties.
  • Ensure supported move-on accommodation is available and minimise void turnaround time.
  • Maintain health and safety and property standards as part of the team delivering services to residents.
  • Support residents to sustain tenancy when housed in move-on properties and during transitions from the scheme.

Tenancy Sustainment OfficerSalvation Army HomesStanley, Liverpool, United Kingdom**Description**The Role You will co-ordinate tenancy management and rent collection to ensure all housing management income is collected effectively. You will ensure fair access, process of applications, relevant background checks and allocation of vacant properties. You will also ensure supported move on accommodation is available for use, keeping vacant properties to a minimum and void turnaround time minimised. You will ensure H&S and property standards are maintained and work effectively as a team member delivering excellent services to Salvation Army Homes' residents. Working with our residents, you will key to increasing their ability to sustain a tenancy when they housed in our move on properties and when they transition out of the scheme from the scheme.
