Job summary

Worthing Homes is seeking a Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker on a 12-month fixed term contract in Worthing. You will manage a varied caseload including complex tenancy matters, anti-social behaviour and breaches, coordinating with customers, solicitors, local authorities and police to resolve issues fairly and effectively.

We value calm, clear communication and evidence-based decisions, with knowledge of housing law and tenancy management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a varied caseload involving complex tenancy matters, ASB, breaches and no-access issues.
• Assess risk, gather evidence, prepare case plans and use appropriate tools to resolve issues fairly and effectively.
• Work closely with customers, housing colleagues, solicitors, local authorities, community safety teams, police and partner agencies.
• Prepare robust documentation, instruct legal representatives and attend court or injunction hearings.

We are looking for a confident and values-led Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker to join our Neighbourhood Housing team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This is a role for someone who can combine legal and procedural confidence with empathy, sound judgement and resilience. You will help us resolve complex tenancy and anti-social behaviour matters in a way that protects customers, supports thriving communities and reflects our commitment to doing the right thing.

About the role

As Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker, you will take ownership of a varied caseload involving complex tenancy matters, anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and no-access compliance issues. You will assess risk, gather evidence, prepare clear case plans and use the most appropriate tools available to resolve issues fairly, proportionately and effectively.

You will work closely with customers, housing colleagues, solicitors, local authorities, community safety teams, police and other partner agencies. Where legal action is required, you will prepare robust documentation, instruct legal representatives and attend court or injunction hearings. Just as importantly, you will help colleagues think through complex situations, share your expertise and support a consistent, customer-focused approach across the organisation.

About you

We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, clear in their communication and confident making evidence-based decisions. You will bring experience of managing complex tenancy, compliance or anti-social behaviour cases, together with a good working knowledge of housing law, tenancy management and relevant ASB legislation.

You will be able to balance firmness with fairness, recognising the impact complex cases can have on customers while ensuring tenancy standards are upheld. You will be organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities, maintaining accurate records and progressing cases with pace and care.

Strong partnership working will be essential. You will be comfortable building trusted relationships with colleagues and external agencies, influencing others and contributing positively to multi‑agency responses. Experience of legal case preparation, community safety partnerships, ASB review processes or a relevant housing qualification would be an advantage.
